Q&A Talks

Q&A Talks is a monthly, virtual informative event that connects parents and caregivers of youth who identify as LGBTQ+ individuals with the resources they need and want. The goal of Q&A Talks is to provide a space for parents and caregivers to learn how to ensure their children can live openly and honestly while socializing with other parents who are experiencing similar situations. Q&A Talks live streams a different speaker each month to discuss relevant topics for parents and caregivers. Join us on Facebook at 7:00 PM CST every third Wednesday as we stream a new presentation, followed by a private Q&A session on Zoom with the presenter(s).

Thanks to a partnership with the Independence Public Library, Project Q&A received the Libraries Transforming Communities: Focus on Small and Rural Libraries (LTC) grant from the American Library Association (ALA). ALA has provided grant funding to help the Independence Public Library and Project Q&A address issues of concern in our communities. LTC  is part of ALA’s longtime commitment to preparing library workers for the expanding role of libraries. The initiative is available in partnership with the Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL).
