Our Work

Project Q&A Inc is the leading nonprofit organization working to educate, empower and raise visibility for the over 2.9 million LGBTQ individuals who call rural America home. Project Q&A’s guiding pillars are to:

  • educate the rural community on issues surrounding LGBTQ individuals
  • empower the queer and ally communities to create change in parts of the U.S. that are slow towards change
  • raise visibility for the LGBTQ community to ensure that others know they are not alone wherever they call home

Project Q&A works within the systems of rural communities to create sustainable change for queer individuals to live their authentic lives. By disrupting the already established systems with empowered LGBTQ individuals and our allies, we can give the queer civil rights movement a face. We no longer live in an era where you must move to a metropolitan area to live openly. Project Q&A creates inclusive rural communities while celebrating those who call it home.

Education is key to change and growth. Project Q&A works to educate rural communities on issues affecting the rural queer community. Project Q&A provides the resources and opportunities to help break down barriers through education.

Over 2.9 million LGBTQ individuals call rural America home, and Project Q&A works to empower those individuals to create change within their community.

Rural America can be an isolating place for the LGBTQ community. Project Q&A raises visibility by hosting events that connect rural LGBTQ individuals and allies, ensuring the queer community knows they are not alone and there is support no matter how small their town is.
